    News 2014 - 2015 Season

    Dibs

Each family is required to complete 10 hours of volunteer time per season (dibs).  Please check your accounts to ensure you have met the requirement.  All dibs must be fulfilled prior to attending a state tournament.  You can also take the option to pay $20 / hour needed using the attached link.

    Annual Meeting Date

The 2015 Annual Membership meeting date and time is set for 3/30/15 at 7pm in Vets Arena.  This meeting will include a financial update as well as an election to fill vacant Board of Director seats.

    ByLaw Revisions

At the annual meeting we will be hosting a vote to modify the ByLaws for WFHA.  Part of the change comes from USA Hockey's ByLaws that requests associations adopt some uniform language.  Another change relates to adding Members At Large to the Board of Directors.  This would allow someone that doesn't have a child in the association to serve on the Board of Directors.  The Member At Large would be brought onto the board by a unanimous vote of the Board of Directors and serve on a 1 year term.  All changes are highlighted in red font.

    Open Board of Director Seats

Please complete the attached bio template if interested in one of the open board seats.  Once complete please email to tnissen@westfargohockey.com

    Athlete's Request

    Athlete’s Request

Let me play well but fairly.

Help me to learn something that matters once the game is over.

Let competition make me strong but never hostile.

Always let me help my opponent up.

Never catch me rejoicing in the adversity of others.

If I know victory, allow me to be happy; if I am denied keep me from envy.

Remind me that sports are just games.

If through athletics I set an example, let it be a good one.
