Welcome to the Home of the STAMPEDE!

The chief objectives of this association are to promote, develop and administer a competitive hockey program. The program is meant to serve the youth of West Fargo and surrounding area. Our objectives will be accomplished by offering high quality coaching, adequate ice time for practice and skill development, and exposure to advanced competition through participation in high caliber games and tournaments.

Practices are held at the Veterans Memorial Arena - 1201 7th Ave E, West Fargo.

Player Development Options

It's here!
The 2015 PlayMakers Hockey Development Power Skating and Skill Development Camps.

Reserve your spot today in one or both of the Playmakers Hockey Development summer camp offerings.  These camps will run 8 weeks starting June 1st and finishing up July 31st.  We have inserted a week-long off week midway through camp so that you can enjoy the lakes or travel over the 4th of July.

Unlike the traditional 1-week hockey camp where players are on the ice for 3-4 hours a day for 1 week in the middle of the summer, PlayMakers Hockey believes that keeping a similar pattern throughout the summer allows for players to see constant improvement of their skills, and retain their skill improvement heading into the next hockey season.

We have an experienced set of coaches ready to help all participants reach their full potential.   Sign up today as space is limited in all levels.

Hockey bags can be left at the rink so that participants can bike to camp.

The PlayerMakers Hockey Development Power Skating camp is a specialized camp focusing on improving skating technique.  Coaches will work with participants to improve speed, leg drive and recovery, knee bend and body position, while performing hockey specific maneuvers.

Power skating runs Mondays for 8 weeks beginning June 1st - July 27th.  June 29th is an off week so that participants can enjoy lake time or travel without having to worry about missing camp sessions.  Camp fee is $150 and spots are limited.

Mondays:
Camp Schedule

12:00-1:15 PM PeeWee/12U
1:30-2:45 PM Bantam/14U
3:00-4:15 PM-Squirt/10U

Dibs

Each family is required to complete 10 hours of volunteer time per season (dibs).  Please check your accounts to ensure you have met the requirement.  All dibs must be fulfilled prior to attending a state tournament.  You can also take the option to pay $20 / hour needed using the attached link.

Annual Meeting Date

The 2015 Annual Membership meeting date and time is set for 3/30/15 at 7pm in Vets Arena.  This meeting will include a financial update as well as an election to fill vacant Board of Director seats.

ByLaw Revisions

At the annual meeting we will be hosting a vote to modify the ByLaws for WFHA.  Part of the change comes from USA Hockey's ByLaws that requests associations adopt some uniform language.  Another change relates to adding Members At Large to the Board of Directors.  This would allow someone that doesn't have a child in the association to serve on the Board of Directors.  The Member At Large would be brought onto the board by a unanimous vote of the Board of Directors and serve on a 1 year term.  All changes are highlighted in red font.

Athlete's Request

Athlete’s Request

Let me play well but fairly.

Help me to learn something that matters once the game is over.

Let competition make me strong but never hostile.

Always let me help my opponent up.

Never catch me rejoicing in the adversity of others.

If I know victory, allow me to be happy; if I am denied keep me from envy.

Remind me that sports are just games.

If through athletics I set an example, let it be a good one.
