Welcome to the 2018-2019 Regular Season Registration with West Fargo Hockey Association!
Registration is now open for the 2018-2019 hockey season. When registering, WFHA encourages you to use the same Sport Ngin account and log-in as you did during the 2017-2018 Hockey season. You do not need to create a new log-in and password each year. Your Sport Ngin account can be used with multiple sport registrations and multiple children year after year.
Registration fees have increased this year for mite through bantam level. The reasoning behind this increase was to more closely align with other organizations in the state and to increase revenue to cover the costs of ice maintenance and additional ice time. The separate building fee of $250 per family was removed. That fee was divided amongst squirt through bantam level players. Each player will see $150 added to registration to cover this fee. There will be a $100 per player discount PROVIDED YOU ARE REGISTERED BY AUGUST 15, 2018. In order to allow enough time to plan for tournaments, coaches, jerseys, etc., it is important that as many players as possible are registered by August 15th. Your cooperation is appreciated.
This year there will be an option of a fundraising buyout. This will be required to be paid in full at the time of registration. Fundraising requirements have not changed from last year. Each player will be required to sell 20 winter raffle tickets at the cost of $20 per ticket. There is a family maximum of 30 raffle tickets or a total of $600 in ticket sales.
Registration fees may be paid in full at time of registration or can be paid in installments, with 25% due on the date of registration, 25% due August 1st, 25% due September 1st and final payment due no later than October 1st. The Installment payment plan is only available for registration fees.
Additionally, registrations completed on or after September 16, 2018 will have to complete DOUBLE fundraising requirements. This only applies to returning players, and not those new to WFHA.
If you have any questions please contact the registrar.
To complete registration through our secure site, please have your Visa, MasterCard or Discover, or Checking account information available. If you do not have a Visa card, a temporary one can be purchased at your local bank.
Important Note: The North Dakota Amateur Hockey Association (NDAHA) has a program designated specifically for girls from 8U (i.e. age 8 and under) through 14U (i.e. age 14 and under). However, if a family chooses, they can register their girl to play at the Termite, Mite, Squirt and PeeWee level along with the boys.
FUNDRAISING FOR 2018-2019 SEASON
This season there will only be ONE fundraiser. Everyone will be required to participate. The fundraising will be in the form of a winter raffle. If you are registering more than one player in your family this season, you will be required to sell fewer raffle tickets for the additional players. In order for the registration system to recognize that your family is registering multiple players, please register all of your players at this time. On the Summary Page, there is a link near the bottom to "Register Another Player" - please click on this link to ensure that all of your family's players are registered within the same order.
Failure to do so will result in a forfeiture of your family's discounted rates.
This season we have set up discounts within the registration for families that are registering multiple children. These discounts apply to Fundraising, where fees will cap off at a set price per family.
In order to qualify for the family maximum discount, you will need to register all players within one session. After you register the first player, you will be asked if you want to register another at the Review page of the registration. If you are going to register more than one player this season, you will need to select that you will be registering another player in order to receive the family maximum discounts.
If a player's birthdate is after March 1, 2015 you will need to contact David Chapman or Jessica Kuhn (contact information listed below) to discuss the level of play options. They will assist you with the registration process if necessary.
You must register first with USA Hockey and then return to this Registration Session to signup.
Prior to going through the registration process, please download and read the 2018-2019 WFHA handbook, which is listed below. Please note that there may be changes to the handbook and the current edition will be posted to the site.
You will be required to check that you read, understand and comply with the details implemented into the handbook in order to continue with the registration.
Downloading and reading the handbook at this point will allow you to swiftly move through the registration session once you are in it. Most, if not all, of your questions can be answered by reading the handbook.
