2020-2021 Players Registration

WFHA Registration

To avoid any frustration and to make the registration process easier, it is highly recommended that you register via Computer (instead of your phone).

Prior to going through the registration process, it's advised you download and read the 2020-2021 WFHA handbook, which is listed below. You will be required to check that you read, understand and will comply with the details implemented into the handbook in order to continue with the registration.  Please note that there may be changes to the handbook and the current edition will be posted to the site. 



**DO THIS FIRST!!  USA Hockey & North Dakota Amateur Hockey Association (NDAHA) require all players to be registered with USA Hockey prior to registering with West Fargo Hockey.  You will complete this task in the first step of registration.  Remember to register EACH of your players with USA Hockey, no matter what age. These registration numbers expire August 31st of each year, so a new registration number will be required.  Details can be found here: https://www.usahockey.com/membership

Sometimes there is a delay with USA Hockey and the registration process.  Please try to be patient with this.  


SportsEngine Login:  One login should be created and used to register and access players from year to year.  You will be able to add additional guardian access to your profile once you have created an account. 


New Players: If this is your players first year in WFHA, you must upload a copy of your birth certificate.  This is a requirement by USA Hockey that must be obtained by WFHA to validate your date of birth. 


Multi-Player Families Your fundraising and volunteer requirements are determined by how you sign your players up.  In order to keep things MUCH easier for you and for us please register all players from your family at one time.  When you are at the end of your registration just answer "Yes" when asked "Would you like to register another player?" and you can continue registering additional family members. 


Girls are able to choose to play either youth or girls hockey starting at the mite level, up until the bantam/14U level.  Our program prefers that girls born between 7/1/2012-7/1/2016 sign up as a termite and can be moved up based on ability to the girls 8U team.  



USA Hockey and NDAHA (North Dakota Amateur Hockey Association) require a separate membership prior to registering with WFHA.  The cost of this registration is controlled by these individual groups and must be completed and paid separately through the USA Hockey registration step at the beginning of your WFHA registration.  There is no USA Hockey registration fee for birth year 2014 and younger (6 & Under).  More information can be found here:  https://www.usahockey.com/membership


Registration Cost per player at each level can be found in the West Fargo Hockey Association Handbook found above. 


Early Bird Registration Discount of $100 per player will be applied if you are registered by end of day on July 8th.  This does not apply to Squirt/10U Non-Travel or Rec League.  First year players to USA Hockey will receive the $100 discount through registration closure of October 18.


Late Registration Fee of $100 per TRAVEL player will be applied if you are registered after August 8 thru  August 15 11:59pm.


Registration Payment Plan is available for members.  

For Non-Travel Teams (Termites, Mites/8U, In-House Squirts/10U, Rec) - If you choose the payment plan,  approximately 25% of your registration fees will be due at the time of registration.  Depending on your date of registration, you will be charged equal payments of the remaining balance on August 1st,  September 1st, with the final payment on October 1st.  

For Travel Teams (Squirt/10U, Peewee/12U, Bantam/14U) -  If you choose the payment plan,  approximately 25% of your registration fees will be due at the time of registration.  Depending on your date of registration, you will be charged equal payments of the remaining balance on August 1st,  September 1st, October 1st, November 1st  with the final payment on December 1st. 


The Fundraising Requirement for this year is the Winter Raffle.  Each family must sell or buy 20 tickets for $400 (single-player family) or 30 tickets  for $600 (multi-player family).  There will be a fundraiser buyout option within the registration process for those who would like this option.  Families who apply and are approved for scholarships are not allowed to buy out the fundraiser. 


Payment types required to register for the season are Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or checking account. If you do not have a payment card, a temporary one can be purchased at your local bank.


Pay at the Level You Play  will happen for all players who move up based on association need.  Any financial adjustments will be made after your player would be offered and accept to move to a higher level.  You will be issued an invoice to be paid by January 1. This normally occurs in the girls program due to movement of numbers. 


Refunds are allowed for players through season registration closure only. No refunds will be made after registration closure unless the following condition is met: A refund of the registration fee based on percentage of season played (25%, 50%, 75%, 100%) may be granted for a season-ending injury if request is accompanied by written documentation from a physician. Refund will be issued back to the original form of payment.
